Prey
Komodo is a top predator in its ecosystem, so maintaining body size is necessary. As a carnivore, it eats insects, reptiles, turtle eggs, bird eggs, birds, boar, deer, horse, and buffalo, sometimes it eats other Komodo.
Adult Komodo use to wait behind the bush and then ambush their prey. Though sometimes the effort is fail, but if the prey is already biten by Komodo, in days it will die because of the bacteria in Komodo’s saliva. For big game such as buffalo, it will be eaten by several Komodos until there is nothing left.
