KSP Received Noteworthy Practice Award from UN-CBD
In 2021, KSP received an award from the Preparatory Committee for COP15, UN-CBD Secretariat, as one of 108 “Noteworthy Practices” for our long-term multidisciplinary efforts for the protection of Komodo dragons in Flores. We are proud to be among other great programs around the world in saving biodiversity. The project itself is a collective work between the Indonesian government (BBKSDA NTT) and Komodo Survival Program involving local community members as the leading actor in the Komodo dragon conservation effort on Flores, especially in habitats that are non-protected areas. We thank our donors and collaborator who also supported this initiative.
Recently, we just received a copy of the handbook of all winning practices where our profile and project were included. We thank the committee for choosing us.
